EunJu Lee

Jewelry and Silversmith Artist

Artist Statement

Consciously or unconsciously, I think about design and materials until they form ideas. Then, those ideas become objects. I strongly focus on design and craftsmanship to find innovative ways to express my ideas. My enthusiasm and energy for making art begins outside of my studio with everyday life. With my observations and new materials I find, I experience new possibilities to create art. I love to experiment with new materials, but I don’t expect every experiment to be successful. Many failures lead to new ideas, designs, and objects. Each of my objects make up my journal, each is a record of my thoughts and relationships to it.
